Hi guys, I'm considering putting 3 gauges in the woodgrain strip above the glovebox, but am not sure if there is enough space behind the strip to accommodate the depth of the gauges.

How much space is available behind the strip, and if there is something in the way, can part of it be cut out to allow the gauges to fit?

Thanks,
Mike

You should have posted this a month or so ago when I replaced all my woodgrain with some that isn't buggered! I can't remember exactly how much space there is back there, but I have seen a soarer with some gauges mounted in the said location. Albeit they were Apexi gauges with bugger all mounting depth. Its not that hard to take the glovebox compartment out, maybe give that a crack and stick your head up there?

I found this pic of the area in question, looks like a metal bracket over the whole area, not sure what's behind that though...
