Hi I wounder if anyone could recommend the best turbo for my setup, im either going to go for a gt3076r or a gt3082r, but unsure which one would suit me best..
spec as followed: hks cams 264, adj verniers, custom inlet, custom throttle body, custom exhaust manifold with tial external wastegate, microtech ltx12 ecu, manual box.
Im unsure on either going for 0.78 a/r (twin scroll) or 0.82 a/r
what turbo and a/r would be best, car is used on the road so dont want nothing to laggy

Bias opinion here to the GT3076R as I have this setup. Has made bit over 300rwkw on 23psi of boost. Have 1/4 mile runs to back up the power figure. Can make 15psi of boost by 3500rpm.

The GT3076 has a 76mm Compressor wheel and the GT3082 has an 82mm compressor wheel (the same as a GT3582 (AKA GT3540). I have a 3082 with a 0.62 A/R Turbine housing and a custom (GCG) 0.5 A/R Compressor housing (like on an XR6 Turbo) and find the turbo to be quite responsive. Positive boost starts at about 2300-2400 RPM than it really comes on hard at about 3300-3500 RPM. I think this maybe has more to do with my crappy wastegate setup than just the steep ratio between compressor and turbine. My car is also running a stock ecu at the moment so once I have a 44mm tial wastegate and a piggyback ecu installed/tuned I would expected it be a little better. Having said that, the GT3076 seems to have a better compressor/turbine ratio which may make it slightly more linear in how it comes onto boost. The 3082R has a larger and more efficient compressor but due to the restriction of the turbine housing I can’t see it make a great deal more power. Cheers

Todd; this is the results of a turbo kit i have for sale $3300.....GT3582 AKA 3540
Here we go; 2000rpm.......1psi 2500rpm.......2psi 3000rpm.......3psi 3500rpm.......5psi 4000rpm.......10psi 4500rpm.......20psi this was ina manual car and using 4th gear then it maintained 20psi all the way to 7800rpm. @ 7800rpm the power Just started to drop. it made 369Hp then a with in 2 weeks the motor popped due to something else going wrong.
