Anybody know the details on JZA80 radiators? Is it worth the swap or even fit (I know minor adjustments must be made to let it sit lower).
Are they thicker than the JZZ30 cores and have more runners? Copper or aluminium?
Reason asking is mine has a bad blockage, with a few hard runs it heats up really quick, and looking for reasonably priced upgrade while it needs replacing. Or would it be better to just recondition and get new end tanks on standard one?

Any decent radiator shop should clean out the core at the same time as they replace the top tank (bottom tank failure VERY rare), if you are getting quoted more than $160 for the job if you've taken the core out, keep shopping around. I occasionally help out at my mates radiator shop, took less than an hour to swap top tank over and clean out the core and put new tank back on. Cost price on aftermarket top tanks is <$50.
The standard soarer radiator is actually quite good, have you had the system flushed at all, could be a block somewhere else? And I'm not talking about sticking the garden hose in one of your radiator hoses, that doesn't do anything! I'm talking about a proper power flush.
So unless you have holes in your core, just stick with what you already have and fix it up a bit. No real point spending the cash on a core that needs to be moded to fit if yours only needs a bit of a touch up. Hope that helps a bit!
