Hello everyone! In a few months ill be purchasing the Power FC along with a single turbo kit for my soarer. my set up will be geared mainly for drifting but will also be daily driving it. Is a gt35r too big, or would something a little smaller like a gt30r be better? my goal is around 450rwhp

A GT30R with a .82 rear housing would be more suited to a drift set up on a 1JZ, the GT35R would be a bit too laggy for a drift set up I think mate.

where do you propose to obtain a power fc from , joe? because they no longer sell them new, they are quite hard to come by and prices have gone up an up.

I drive a soarer with a gt35r with a 1.06 A/R and responsive is probably not a word that I would use to describe my set-up. Big MOFO kick in the arse when boost starts building is probably more accurate! Go a gt30r because you'll make power quicker and it will be far more useable. Don't aim for power figures either. Build the car to as best as you can afford and be happy with what you get because if you start chasing idealistic figures the bills will just keep adding up trust me my aim was 500hp atw and I don't discuss the costs of my car anymore because it's staggering! A GT35r is a great turbo for drags but not so good on the street and if you select the wrong gear on the track by the time you build back up boost again everyone will have lapped you!

The extra 500cc are so worth it. The engine feels far larger than 3 litres and lag is negligible. You'll be very happy :-)
