I have two questions about engine oil. 1st of all I'm in canada so the temp goes from -29 C in the winter to +35 C in the summer. Right now I'm using a 5W30 full synthetic.

the 2nd question is the other day after I washed under the hood (bonet, whatever) I opened my oil filler cap and noticed a bit of white foam around the underside of the cap. Is this a sign that the cap wasn't tightened all the way or somthing more serious? the car only has 66000kms on it.

thank you

White foam = moisture in the oil. Given the climate, it might only be condensation.

Wipe it all out, then go for a long drive, then check it again.
