I hate it when you remind me Dan! Bad Day's that was. Ebay steelies are no good.
Steel wheels high flowed and rebuilt buy a turbo specialist,Then that's a different statement. GCG ( http://www.gcg.com.au/Catalogue_Menus/Upgrade%20Turbochargers/upgrade_ct12a.htm )is one company that doe's this. And are very good. As Brian Timms said "Steel lasts longer and is stronger" providing they are rebuilds by the experts not those back yard yobbo's(China).

Have to say, mine have done 60,000kms that I know of, and who knows how much before me, but are running great, hold solid boost, come on very quick, and are nice to drive.
I am positive mine are ceramics, but not 100% certain, will need to check.
The next 12 months will see them over 120,000kms on the same turbochargers, so time will tell.

Hmm maybe I should be calling Ben after all, just popped the oil seal on one of the steelies Although I managed to lose all the oil in the motor/sump within 100-200m a few days earlier, which could be related. Car still goes fine, but man it blows some smoke sometimes!
