Hey Peoples
pretty much as the title states, for some reason i cant raise my boost level. im currently runnin around 14-15psi standard due to dumps and what not, but lately i've decided to try and squeeze a little bit more out of the old girl. i've tried a couple of bleed valves and no luck. just got my hands on an EBC, hooked it up last nite and still no increase of boost. The car runs fine, and i don't hit boost cut or anything like that coz i've got a mines ECU, just wondering why i cant get that few extra psi out of her.

have you bridged the 2 wastegate lines together.. if not thats a place to start. If you dont know what im talking about do a search as its been covered many times before

yeah mate, bridged both wastegate lines and turbo lines, so i end up with two lines going into the electronic boost controller solenoid. i've done all that.

a number of things could be the cause.your plumbing may be incorrect. i had that problem once, and the boost controller could do nothing.just confirm that your 2 wastegate actuators are connected to each other(with a tee halfway between them that goes to the boost controller). then check that both compressor housing outlet nipples are connected to each other, once more with a tee going to the 'in' side of the boost controller solenoid.a mechanic hooked 2 up the wrong way round, rendering higher boost impossible. secondly, you may have a boost leak, only evident at 14 psi or higher. happened to me once too. as a last resort, disconnect the wastegate actuators from any air pressure source, give the car a brief(very brief) burst of power and see if the boost goes over 15psi. my tuner thought my wastegates were being blown open by 16psi boost, so i showed him that they werent,by doing exactly as i described.this showed us that the boost controller was faulty, rather than the actuators.hope this helps.
