Hi All,
I need some help with this one, I've tried a few friends, and also poked around google, and some forums with no luck.
This is by far the weirdest problem I or any of my friends have ever heard of!
-- Story goes I was driving down the highway, came to a construction area, and had to slow down to 40. As I approached the 40 sign, I slowed down some more, went back down to first, got the revs up and let up the clutch nice n slow (as not to skid it out of course). As I took off, there was NO BOOST! Almost like my turbos just decided "nope, I'm going to sleep now, you can have fun some other day, g'nite".
-- The confusing part is that there was NO NOISE, no bang, clunk, whatever, they just stopped boosting. The car still ran, I could still drive it the whole night, but no boost.
-- So far I've tried checking the vacuum to make sure my turbos are still working - and they are, it's just not making it into my engine. I've checked to make sure the turbos are still spooling, because you can hear them howling at high RPM low speed with foot to the floor. There is a black mark on the turbo closest to the fire wall, but I have a hunch that's just paint - not an exhaust leak - however, I'll check that too.
-- Today I plan to look at the tubing more closely and make sure there isn't any cracks/splits. Also, reset my ECU in case for some (random) reason it decided to turn over to "non-turbo mode" while I was driving, and start running the engine really lean because it thinks it's getting too much air ... Also, I'll check that black mark on my turbo.
-- My soarer is totally stock, except for bigger fuel pump, bigger injectors, front mount intercooler, pod filter, replaced rubber piping with steel, and a bov (shh!).
So, I'm lost for words...
I thought I would post this, regardless of whether it's a simple fix or not, because it is rather bizarre. If anyone has had this happen before, or has any other suggestions - feel free, I'm more than willing to try different solutions.

Peter, good guess!
Had a look in the day light during my "lunch break", and found that one of the screw-clamps around one of the rubber connectors for my intercooler piping had ... err, worn away to nothing and broken off.
Reason there was no noise, is because it was on the 'outlet' end of the chain just after my BOV. So all the pressure was running wildly out of a 3" steel pipe.
Guess your wondering how it got worn? Well! previous owner before me didn't do a very crash hot job on the intercooler installation, and the pipe is about 1mm from my air-con. So when the air-con is ON, it starts to rub, esp. when the engine is shaking about while running, yeah? I did have a fix in place for this, but forgot about it, and it's come loose, so yeah ... using aircon + windows up + music on + only really use aircon on the hwy = clamp grinded down to nothin.
Grant, For future reference, where is the MAP sensor?
Thanks for your help fellas - your just too smart 4 me ;)

hey corey, the map sensor is behind your intake plenum on the fire wall. its a little black thing with a hose going into it and a plug with some wires coming out of it.
