Hi chaps - I'm having serious problems with the car at low RPMs

If i'm sitting still the car will judder and jolt suddenly every 10 seconds or so.
When I go to pull away - the car jumps, jolts and hesitates up until around 1500 RPM

The car idles at 600 rpm as it always has done - just with this big shudder every so often

If I engage the aircon when sitting still the car idles up to around 1000/1200 RPM as usual but the car shudders and jolts constantly - just as it does when pulling away

above this low RPM range the car seems a lot smoother

Any ideas?

Start with the basics, check spark plugs and coil packs, sounds like you may have a miss. Mine was very similar but not to your extent when I had my old coil packs

The power loss could also be put down to the STUPID heat Melbourne is experiencing :-(

i checked the plugs, and they gapped at 1.1 so i put sum new ones in and gapped to .75. but all was good for a little while then it started to run like again. and the a/f gauge was in rich all the time. so i think it has fouled the plugs again. because it is running so rich any ideas people?

Have you had it tuned yet Michael? The big fuel pump might just be making it run really rich?

not yet hehe been lazy.

but i think i just found the problem, someone has put like a little peice of metal, with a small hole in the line to the map sensor,( not factory i can tell you) took it out and it seems to be running realy good, just took it for a drive, then and does not run rich, yeah fuel pump should not make it run rich but the fuel reg, should sort out the pressure.
