That is the picture of the timing belt. I needed the pulley for the tensioner on the serpentine belt.
Anyway one of my mates put me on to the fact that the 3.8L V6 holden engines use a pulley of a very similar diameter so I went and got one for $5 at a wrecker. Works a treat!

Matthew, It 5:50pm Saturday night when all hell broke loose, and Sunday everyone goes to Church (or to the beach) here in Sydney.
I did check the bearing, and it was awesome, took the bearing apart, re-greased, put back together, and she's all sweet.
For those that want the information that might one-day get you out of the crapper:
VR, VS, VT Commodore tensioner pulley is about 8mm Circumference smaller, but has higher ridge on the edges to hold the belt straight (the entire reason for replacement in the beginning).
On the Soarer, the bolt holding this pulley in has a normal thread. On the Commodore, it is a REVERSE Thread (so when removing from the Commo, be away the bolt undo's in the other direction).
Easy way to tell if your undoing in the right direction is if the tension spring starts to retract (the pulley assembley starts moving) your going tightening the bolt, and if you keep going, you will destroy the tension arm and leave the bolt stuck int he pulley, rendering it useless (I destroyed 1, and there where 4 others killed the same way when sourcing the parts at a wrecker).
BTW, the one I got still had an intact part sticker on it, so it was pretty much new (sorry, didn't get a part number off it, but then again it IS a holden pulley, not a Toyota Genuine part).

Ohh yeah, Soarer Bolt is 14mm, Holden Bolt is 18mm.
So in comparison:
Serpentine Tensioner Pulley direct replacement (if you cant find a Toyota Part quick enough)
Holden Commodore VR/VN/Vy/VT/VS Tension pulley
Soarer: 14mm bolt Anti-clockwise to undo(standard) Tension pushes down to release
Commodore: 18mm bolt Clock-wise to undo (Reverse Thread) Tensioner lifts upware to release tension Pulley is .8cm shorter in Circumference
Both units use the same bearing (same bearing part number and brand), both units are the right width, and both pulley's are smooth surfaced.
I am not saying it is or isn't a good idea to use a Commodore part on a much more advanced engine, but this information might get you out of trouble one day if you cant find a Toyota part.

I have the new Toyota parts already, Called Bill Buckle today at Lunch, they left on a Courier and will be at my door tomorrow morning, brand new, $22 including the courier fee.
The reason I posted the information up, is if you get stuck out somewhere in the middle of knowhere (such as country Australia) where they might not even have a Toyota dealer, then you have Australia's most common car which is able to share a part with your car...
