Hi Guys
My speedo is not working and the diagnostics showed error 42 so I am assuming my front speed sensor is not working the one on the transmission. Apparently it could be just the rubber around it that could be the problem and costs $40 as opposed to the whole sensor which is around $300.
Do you guys know the part number for the sensor and the rubber.
Also could the speed sensor cause the gears not to change normally. When the car is cold(in the mornings) it won't change from 3rd to 4th even on the freeway when I am doing 80-100 or so. However approximately 15-20mins after cold start it will change from 3rd to 4th without me doing anything(no change in acceleration).Once it has gone to 4th then the car drives as normal.So if I slow down and then go to cruise speed it will change to 4th.In the arvo when I return( car is cold sitting at work for 8hrs) It does not have any problems.Drives as per normal.
So once a day only in the morning the car hesitates to go to 4th but once it does at its own time then it drives normal.
