hello i own 1991 1JZ modified soarer ( it has a Oil Cooler Kit fitted , lowered and other mods) my soarer has started to leak. it look like it coming from the drivers side. i was driving my car interstate and ran over a kangaroo. (The kangaroo did no visual damage to the car). It went under underneath the car) Also my car has been on my friends farm (The farm has Cattle stops and uneven grounds)so maybe the oil lines got damage can anybody help me? or recommend a good soarer workshop? i live in Adelaide thanks...

Is it engine oil or tranny fluid? your tranny lines are on the drivers side of the block

Its only engine oil... And its leaking everywhere. It looks like 10 different places its leaking from . All the leaks are from the drivers side. Around one week ago. The car wasn't even leaking and now its leaking like the rain.

And maybe an english teacher? Take it to your local good mechanic and get them to take a look at it. Do you have any car ramps? Maybe you can take a look yourself.

Sounds like it's leaking at the top then running down in many places. Check the cam cover for a start.

I'd be checking that oil cooler kit if it runs to the drivers side.

battery is a definate. just wondering, with your oil cooler kit, did you also install a filter re-location kit, and or an oil pressure sensor?

Yes it has a filter re-location kit. I'm not sure about the oil pressure sensor. Have a Apexi Power FC with hand controller . I'm not sure if that has a oil pressure sensor linked up?

Check the rubber oil return lines below the turbos. If they have never been replaced, they do go really hard, crack, and then start to leak. If they are hard, I would recommend replacing them. When ever mine have leaked they have dropped a lot of oil, and it was hard to try and work out where it is coming from.

thanks for that.. But i think i have work out what the problem is. I think is the the oil cooler kit, filter re-location. The soarer was leaking 3 different places . One of the places i have stopped the leaking but still two to go.

| Here is a hint and 2 golden ruls with oil leaks. 1: Oil can NOT leak foward (i.e. it will not travel towards the front bumper, but it can travel backwards towards the rear bumper). 2: Oil can not travel against gravity, therefore it can only travel downards (in extreme conditions, or when forced by something, it can travel upwards but this is rare, and therefore should be ignored unless proven). clean the engine bay, take for a 10 - 15 minute drive, come back, and look for oil, it will show you pretty much close to where the oil is coming from, if not, check back every 15 - 20 minutes for time to allow the oil to run. | I have photos (one is the part of the oil cooler that is leaking)i cant stop it leaking...
The others photos shows leaking on the ground. (near the passenger door)It might be where the oil re-location module is. I haven't check it out yet. What does everybody think?

Update. I have found where the leaks are from. One leak is on the oil re-location module (where the oil filter would be if it didn't have a oil re-location kit on it )to fix this i will have to tightening it, not sure how i could do this looks like there not much space. the other leak in from the oil cooler core. Its leaking bad. I might have to replace the oil cooler core or maybe i could repair it?
