engine electrical fault.. only happened since emanage gone in? will be knock sensor wire if so. Just give disconnect from emanage and do not monitor knock through emenage. problem solved.
also should show error code when running diags. will probably be code 52 or something like that. (knock sensor).
i think the emanage gives some kind of feedback and triggers this fault as it was happening on light driving for me and then car ran like crap until i reset the ecu.

Hi Christian, the jap writing only comes up on the dash when I bridge e1 te2, also it displays no code (just constant fast flashing) is it normal for it to display this jap writing when running a diagnostics check

Dunno about the code Cam, but according to the page on here under "Soarer Diagnostics", you only bridge E1 and Te2 when performing a diagnostic inspection in TEST mode. ie., you bridge terminals of Te2 and E1 with the engine off, ignition off, car in neutral and air con off. Then take the car for a drive, after the drive, connect Te1 and E1 to do the diagnostic check.
Are you trying to do the TEST MODE diagnosis (while doing a test drive) or just the normal diagnostics check? If you just want a diagnostics check, use Te1 and E1.

yea I ment bridge E1 and Te1 and doing normal diagonstics, when I bridge these two, it comes up on the dashthe jap message but no codes....is it normal?
My codes took a couple minuites to display. first the jap writing then you hit scroll and it took a while before it showed anyting. it says etc... then ok if no errors and if not takes a while then flashes a numbers. and going by your profile.. gt tl, you should have the scroll dash.

Thanks for all the advice in this post. I have tried all the above, and yes I also get the Jap writing, but when scrolling I only get EFI-OK and ETC-NG then ETC - - . I have sat for a good 15mins and that's all that wants to show. Do I need to sit longer and what does ETC-NG mean..."No Good"? Any help, or as much help would be great.
