I've wondered about this for a while, has anyone ever done or even thought of putting FSE 1J or 2J into a soarer or anything else with turbos bolted to it? Would there bee any tangible benefits? I assume fuel consumption would be the biggest advantage, your thoughts/stories
and for my answer...honestly... dont bother, as your reg is suffecient enough for many kw's... (around 300rwkw), and also, youll stuff the seals on the side feeds your running anyways.... ;)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_JZ_engine#Direct_Injection_FSEs Is this what you are referring to Aaron? Probably wouldn't be worth the bother to put one of these into a Soarer, they are designed to lower fuel consumption rather than high power, but if that's what your after it could be an option. The FSE engines have a high compression ratio (11.3:1) which would complicate things if you were looking at turbo-charging one.

Yep that was what i was talking about Luke. I wasn't actually wanting to put one in or anything just wondering if it had been done at all. I thought about the compression ratio after I posted the thread but anyway.
I assume it would be possible theoretically if you lowered the compression say 8-10% but would you still reap the fuel consumption benefits, I should probably stop thinking out allowed, don't mind me
