One of my turbos has recently shat itself.
I'm assuming it's just one of them as the car was running fine before hand and seems unusual they would both pack in at the same time?

Firstly, how can I (if I can at all) find out which one, (front or rear), it is without pulling the whole unit off?
Secondly, can I put a rear turbo on the front, or a front on the rear or do they have different bolt patterns or configurations, etc?

The rear ones usually go first...but not always. The front one was the one that blew on mine.

Front and rear are interchangeable but require a bit of work/disassembly/clocking to do it.
