So heres the deal guys, I have searched around, found some answers but wanted to post this up to see if anyone can help me brainstorm something extra.

The issue is as follows. While driving my car, the rpms just start to drop until the car dies. Then, I could start it a couple of times after the initial stall, with the same thing happening, rpms fall until the car dies out. Reving it does not help, it will rev up then the pedal has no effect and then dies.

Now here is the strange part. If you try to turn it on, nothing, wont turn over. Until you try a bunch of times, I'm talking about 15-20 times and all of a sudden it kicks over and off it goes, with no stalling. Now this has happened to me twice, once yesterday, once about 3-4 months ago. So it is VERY intermittent.

There is also one more thing to add. The first time it happened I was actually on my way to dyno the car. After it got back up and running I did the dyno and it pulled great numbers with a beautiful graph. Since the dyno I have added an FMIC, changed spark plugs, and went to a higher output alternator. The day it happened the second time I was driving around for an hour or so, on the freeway I decided to punch it a couple times and around 5000 rpm it felt like I was hitting fuel/boost cut (I have an HKS FCD on it) so it should not hit fuel cut. It did this in 3rd and 4th gear. Then I got home, put it away, went to go see a movie later and on the way there that is when it gave out. Got it running again and took it home.

So what I am thinking is that it might be the fuel pump, fuel pump ecu or injectors. If anyone has any other ideas to help me out please chime in. Also thanks for reading my essay ;)

Sergie, the first place to start would be the battery terminals. Remove, clean, refit and tighten.

Thanks Peter. I'll give that a try. The voltage read out does show 14.0-14.2V when the car is running. However I do see, at idle the injector % bounces between 1.5% and 2.2%

sounds like the fuel pump ecu to me, do the bridge test and see if it works.

Hmm interested to see how you go with this because i have just recently bought a 7MGTE R154 manual JZA70 Supra and it does exactly what you say, the car just decides to die even when fully clutched in the revvs will just drop off
