Hey guys, So my car is still overheating. Ive reconditioned my radiator, got a new water pump/thermostat and radiator cap. After a cracked water pump I was hoping this would solve my overheating problem, but that doesnt seem too be the case. I also replaced my thermo fan 2nd hand as my previous ones bearing was buggered which i assumed may have been the reason for my water pump cracking previously. But now its still overheating, its drinking coolant/water like crazy. Also steam and sizzling can be heard from under my engine cam cover. I think it may be an incorrect thermo stat, air inside my cooling system (when heaters on the vents blow out cold air). Any ideas, advice or help would be greatly appreciated fellas. Thanks in advance, Mark

a few things to check... milky stuff under oil cap lots of water in the oil blowing water from the exhaust bubbles in the radiator when engine is running with the cap off...
sorry to break it too you, but you've most probably blown the headgasket.
good news is that 1js are so cheap these days... incedentally, the reason I own a soarer is because if this. I've blown many headgaskets in my time

Well, cooling systems rely on there being high pressure to raise the boiling point of the coolant. If there's a pressure leak anywhere, this will add the the problem. check all your hoses.
An easy way to find out is have a mechanic do a pressure test, they pressurise the radiator with the car off and see if, when pressurised, it holds it. If theres a leak the pressure will drop. And then you'l see exactly where the water is going.
