Has anyone actually fitted and used one of the ebay kits in the link below, the power steering, alternator and water pump I know would not cause any problems.
What I want to know is, has anyone replaced the standard harmonic balancer with the underdrive pulley and have there been any problems. Yes I know you shouldn't remove the harmonic balancer as it is there for a reason, just interested to see some results of this mod.

I have been doing a lot of reading and there is evidently heaps of cars running without the harmonic balancer. I would be the first to say don't remove it, just wanted to know if anyone has given it a go. Might get some lightened pulleys though.

this guy on ebay only sells them for the 2jz (i emailed him, biggest load of false advertising)..... another indication is that greddy kits dont include the harmonic balancer... probably for safety reasons :-)

I Agree with Charlie 100%.. If underdrive pulleys were the go, then Greddy would make a kit! But they make lightened!

My Dad used to run Underdrive pulleys on his 5L windsor.. Every Stang in the states ran them. BUT it was a proper harmonic unit, just resized! ( it had rubber and all, not some billet solid unit like these ebay ones).

Alot of guys on the Supra forums say, Lightened YES, Underdrive, NO.

HOpe this helps Jeff :-)

i do have these 4 pulleys on my car about 1 years maybe less. the set i bought are made of Aluminium. the Ps pulley make too much noise when idle, has been told that's because the material of the pulleys. Also the crank pulley was quite hard to put in, the port size of the crank pulley is just a little small, maybe it originally designed for 2j. But it does a good responds when reving.
