i get gery Smoke on startup once in ever 100 starts, almost never happens really.

I was thinking valve stem seals but any one got any ideas?
Any one had this happen to them?
Turbos dieing?

Just don't start it the 100th time.
Seriously though, you have to remember that your Soarer is 16 years old, so valve guide/turbo seals and rings are going to be worn.As long as it is not continuously pouring out I wouldn't worry. Stops the exhaust going rusty as well.

Grey smoke is unburnt fuel. Don't get too excited about it. It might be as simple as that the previous time you started the car, it was only running for a minute or so while you moved it.

If i leave my car for over a week without starting, sometimes i get grey/black smoke for a few minutes when i start it up again.
