I am leaking power steering fluid roughly in the area pointing to the arrow (red). I have cleaned the area and cannot understand where the leak is from. Does anyone know of a common cause for leaks in this area.
The steering rack is on the right side of the picture...

i had a similar problem (was the rubber hose) cleaned it all up and wrapped some paper around it to find out where it was exactly then closeley inspected, then went off to a rubber place and got a replacement (didnt even have the same moulded shape) and worked correctly, just needed some to be heat resistant. not sure if this helps

And oil resistant too!
Also it may be leaking from the banjo itself, occasionally the copper washers give up. It looks from the pic that the bolt has been in and out a few times from the wear marks on the head, copper washers have a 'crush' rating, you can't keep re-using them over and over.

Ben, i took that bolt off (wasnt easy) and everything looked ok...
I think Shane could be right, the hose seems to be leaking at the end of the pipe where there is some sort of metal joiner (shown below), does anyone have the part number for this pipe?

Lol, yellow pages, or if you can get the pipes off, take them to Pirtek yourself (in someone elses car of course).
I had mine go the day I bought my Soarer, and had to doctor it for rego inspection the next day, got everything passed and went to Pirtek, they winged and said "we are not mechanics, we cant take the pipes off the vehicle", so I borrowed their tools, and removed the pipes in the carpark, took an hour, gave them the pipes, got them re-made within an hour, and had them fitted 30 minutes later, filled the system and blead the air out of the system, and she was SWEET, lasted me 19 months without any issues before selling the car.
