Hi.
I've just done a complete search, both here and ALSC and no good.
Wanted to know how easy/hard it is to remove the rear disc to replace it.
It looked simple enough, but just don't want to break anything.
I thought just remove wheel, remove brake caliper and caliper bracket, take out of gear, disengage handbrake, and thats that

but no, its not....

Any steps forgotten, or do I need to tackle it another way?
Please help

Thanks Fran

I had to change a snapped stud a few months ago but the process is the same. There might a screw or similar holding on to the disc.

here is a tutorial to replace a wheel stud.

Even with the handbrake off the rear discs can be a right pita to take off. Iff you look closely you will see 2 bolt holes (kinda like the holes in the harmonic balancer to aid removal). I can't remember what the thread is, but if you get 2 bolts in there and start turning them (even turns on both sides, ie don't just do one up all the way before you start on the other) the disc will come off nice and easy :-)
