| ok, i will give this a try.. What Drive shaft does the TT soarer have? dont know if that is the correct word.. (the thingy that goes between the gearbox and the rear differential, hope you get it, lol..) anyway.. my rubber bearing( ? ) on the drive shaft broke down, and i want to switch it with a new one.. but i don't know if the shaft is from a MKIV or a MKIII, my car is modified to a 5spd manual.. The toyota workshop can't help me because they can't find my car in their computers, and they say that the frame number is incomplete.. Anyone? (yes i know the spelling is bad, lol..) |

| Hi Martin, If you mean the rubber COUPLING at the rear of the drive shaft it is THIS.
Toyota part number is below circled in RED.

| BUT, if you mean the rubber center bearing, it is THIS.
Toyota part number below circled in RED.
NOTE: These are for a Soarer drive shaft. Whether it is different to a Supra one, I do not know. ps; Don't worry about your English, it makes more sense than some people that have English as a 1st. language |

| I've checked Martin, and the JZ80 Supra's (1993 - 1999) use the same part numbers.

| pretty common problem also mate by the way. I dont think that many people even worry about replacing them unless ofcourse they are completely falling apart. Mine has cracks all through it... |

| Yes, it's the center bearing, thank you.. Ok, but the problem is that when I release the clutch my whole drive-line is wobbling under the car, and it makes a terrible noise. I think that the bearing is too soft. I can press the drive shaft upwards very easily. I've already checked all the bolts and nuts, and they are ok. Now, when the drive shaft is on the ground I can easily twist and turn the bearing around. I guess that I should not be able to do that with a healthy one? |

| ok i've checked this out some more today.. and i can't se if the rubber bearing is the problem,(besides it's soft) the whole rear axle (diff) are shaking when i pop the clutch, maybe the rubber cusions on the rear axle can be the problem? if they have gone soft all the sudden, or maybe the movement from the bearing are reinforced and make the rear axle shake? because i can't see if the bearing itself shakes.. do you think i should look into the bearing first? a new one was pretty expensive does anyone know which rubber cushions I mean? |

| i believe that it is the subframe bushings that are the problem, im going to get some new ones this whinter.. hopefully this will solve the problem, i turned the bushings on the diff upside down, and that helped alot, but now the subframe busings are to soft and the whole rear axle is moving and jumping, and that are making the sound/bumps Can anyone help with the toyota part number for this items?? |

| Martin, I bought the program on DVD from Rob Hayden in Australia for $25(AUD) + postage to New Zealand. There is also an on-line parts catalogue on this site..........have a search. I think it's in the info for newbies section.
