Hi,
I am trying to install a new PCV valve as I heard the ones originally fitted with our cars are defective. I cannot find the original PCV valve in the vent hose. Any suggestions? Where is the valve located? Under the cover?
THanks,
Neil

be careful! it's possible to remove it without pulling the cam cover. but coz it's so old and hard to will probably break and the rest of it will fall onto the cam! Just to be sure pull the cam cover off and do it that way. takes 10 minutes extra.

ah thanks guys... I was looking at the wrong hose... doh. I thought the PCV valve would go into the vent hose that recirculates into the intake system...

I just bought a whole new PCV valve setup also.
They changed as the years wore on with the TTs so you cant just buy a new "VALVE" only... you have to buy the complete unit (which is under 50AUD here anyways)

So now a year later I may be having problem with my PCV Valve.
I'm currently doing a boost leak test and I'm finding that air is leaking into the valve cover through the PCV valve, If my understanding is correct, with the engine off and by filling the engine from the intercooler piping after the turbos I'm seeing leaking air. Am I any input?
