Hey

I have started to notice this for the last few weeks now ...

I go to start the car ... turn the key .. find i have to hold it longer than normal and once I release then the engine slowly splutters on ... sometimes it hasn't turned on first go (almost but not quite) and I have had to try again

Tends to be fine on cold start ... more of an issue when I return to the car after having driven it somewhere

What I have tried:
- Battery
- Cleaned terminals
- Fuel ECU Bypass

Any Suggestions/tests I can do to diagnose what may be causing this

Thanks

How old are your spark plugs and fuel filter?

ECU reset if you have not already done it. And maybe check the ignitor or coilpacks

Do you have an immobiliser?
When you go to start your car do you just go straight from off to start straight away or do you go to the on position for a few seconds first. To allow fuel pressure to build?

Power FC -- ECU reset ? Is that possible ?

It is an unusually long time ... and is definately not normal ... this is why I am somewhat concerned

Yes I do have an immobiliser, and have tried that suggestion as well, but I still had the same result

What should I be looking for when I check the ignitor and coilpacks ?
Ignitor is that a black box or am I confusing that with something else

Did not see your running power fc, but I would guess that it would have to have a reset setting in there somehow, try just disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes with headlights on.
With the coilpacks just check for any cracks but this would be more likely if the car was missing at higher revs as for the ignitor I think you would need to just swap it over to see if that the cause.
Probably be worth talking to Cihan about it.
