ONly if tis a clutch pack type LSD... Otherwise any diff oil is fine if it is a mechanical oil.
Change the diff oil every 50,000km's... If thats the case, Put some good stuff in ! You dont put No frills in your engine do you? Even if changed frequently?

I did mine a couple of months ago - just used the Castrol product - can't remember the exact weighting. Took just over 1.5 litres. Old stuff was pretty stinky and nasty, and the magnetic plug was a pretty well coated. Most difficult bit was getting the two plugs undone as they use an allen key and I didn't have any allen key attachments for my socket set, so I had to use an ordinary allen key and wack it with a hammer.

i recommend changing your diff oil as soon as you get the car, then every 20000km if you are racing it. it's important to keep the torsen in really good nick. years ago, the local toyota dealer put LSD oil in my torsen. they didn't have a clue that it needed normal gear oil. I changed it immediately. 1.6litre volume, i reckon.

Indeed, I have a kick arse socket set now that my wonderful mum-and-dad inlaws got me last birthday, but unfortunately the one thing it was missing was hex sockets. I'll get some before I have to do the job again.

Blake, What oil do you recommend and what damage will be done if LSD oil in a torsen?
asking as i have castrol LSD oil in mine and since its been in there its alot clunkier... (although i thought a burnout did that) seems worse when hot then cold.

That could be that the LSD oil is thinner Christian. Which when its hot would get even thinner and wouldnt quite fill the tolerances as well as a thicker grade oil . I would advise dropping it out and going with some 80-90 Synth mate! Worth a go, should make the diff " less clunky ".

Dave, no traction control on mine.. Also it was after a burnout a while ago at willowbank when i first noticed it, but was around the same time i changed the oil. Also my powerlevel and the shiftkit doesnt help too much

AH AH only pulling ya leg,but Chris if you stop doing burn outs ,it will not get any worse!!!!. The clunk could be in the prop?,i think CASTROL LXS 90 H/DUTY is o.k,i always use it .
