I am having a look on Ebay at a single turbo setup for sale to replace my TT.

Does this look like a good set up to you at a reasonable price or will I need to spent twice this to get it to work ?

Two things about that... The wastegate! What brand is it as it looks dodgy... Also most ebay manifolds don't fit too well... So really it is a risk.... The to4 looks like a cheep chinese nock off and at the price $800 for the lot speaks for itself... A good quality single setup will be around $5,000 up with all fittings and pipework.... Don't skimp mate! I've gone through it and payed the price...
Who knows but it may just turn out to be a bargin but looking at it I don't think so!

I have heard bad stories with those T04E turbo's, lasted around 2months on 16psi with oil leaking and compressor hitting the housing.

My neighbour goes through these every 6-8 weeks, He has a Suppliuer who gets them for $125 each turbo, so he doesnt care... But he drives a Skyline, so it figures :-)
