What is the right spark plugs to run a TT Stock Soarer 1JZ?
Which is better, copper, iridium or platinum?
What gapping etc.. etc..?

If your coils are good, .8mm, is fine. Most people gap down, only to make up for old coils, or if there running high boost.


BKR6E-8's. std copper are fine, others will tell you different though.

BKR6E are the standard coppers.

BKR6E-IX are the iridiums.

I personally run iridiums, has not faulted with high boost. If you car is still standard, coppers will be fine.

If your car is standard, get platinum plugs. A bit more expensive but last for 100k

I just put in BKR6E 1.1's, gapped down to 0.8 because there were no 0.8's in stock. Seems to run well

Just remember regapping is fine for coppers but not recommended for iridium or platinum
