Hi Guys,
I know some might think I am stupid and crazy, but I just really really hate the look of the boost gauge that is in my car. I want to change it to another one.
I was wondering if there is some way to use the existing wires etc that connect to the current gauge and connect my new one using them. Saving me lots of time and effort removing the old wires and lines and putting in the new ones.
Also my current boost works perfectly so I know its all connected correctly. Would love to just change its face, which is what I am looked to do basically.
I can understand if it can't be done as each boost brand might have its own wires etc but would like to find out. If it can be done please let me know how

ummm shouldnt be too hard mate.
More info needed though. I.e is it a mechanical or an electrical one ?
If mechanical (as in vac line plugs directly into the back of it) then YES an easy change as you can leave that line in place and just change the wires over.
Usually only a few wires for a boost gauge. Positive Negative Illumination Wire (which many people just wire into the positive anyways so its on all the time)
If you have an ELECTRONIC boost gauge with the sender thingo in the engine bay then it will be a little more involved BUT still very basic.

Thanks James, you are the man. I will check to see what wire's it had on the back when I get home. I am not sure what type it is. I will let you know. However I think its mechanical. BTW are the nice blue ones that are on sale at super cheap this week any good?

umm i have not seen those one.. but most boostgauges are pretty good, they all do a pretty basic function.
There are always a few JAP Brands floating around at the wreckers, online and ebay etc etc. Nothing like a nice white faced GREEDY guage looking back at you saying 1.25 BAR !
