Cheap epoxy won't last long, it'll get too hot and fail. You probably need to spend $40-$80 on a quality temperature resistant epoxy.

Whats the possibility of mounting an after market coil pack and running leads to the spark plugs instead. Whats the requirements for a full coil pack system like what commodores use. I suppose you would need a new ecu to run it but if you can find one that matches the soarer output im sure you could trick the factory ecu right?

WHy bother changing a system that works perfectly for well over 10 years ???

You gotta remember guys, these cars are almost 20 years old now. Put some new coil packs on and enjoy the next 10 years trouble free !
