boost cut is a sudden loss of power... like hitting a brick wall... not just lag.. check for boost leaks

What setting is the FCD on? I have an adjustable HKS one, setting 9 is right for JZZ30/JZA80 but from testing it before I fitted the thing I'm pretty sure it's not just a straight clamp but does trim the signal a little before it hits 4.X volts.

I played around with running it on setting 7 & 8 to see if there was any difference through trimming fuel at WOT, not sure if it was my imagination but it did feel like it it bogged a bit in the lower revs before hitting boost.

As Rob though said it's not boost cut. Could be all sorts of things.

By the sounds of it, it comes good ?? as in starts to pull hard up top ??

What has been done to the motor as in cams turbo's etc ..

Has it always been like this since you have had the car or has it got worse & when does it start to pull hard, as in what RPM ..

As the boys say you can't drive through boost cut, when you hit it the car will just instantly come off power & will not rev past that point if you still keep your foot buried into it .. ( boost cut actually shuts down the power to the injectors instantly & when the computer notices the boost drop off to an acceptable level powers them back up again & so forth, hence the instant & very quick & savage bucking from the engine once you hit boost cut )
