hey guys i was just wondering if you could give me some info or background knowlegde on the gt17 turbo. is it any guud? how does it run in soarers? is it prone to problems? im asking because one of the guys on the forum is selling a custom twin setup with these turbos and i was jst curious to see if i would be gaining much if i took out my steel wheel stocks and changed them with those! how much power gains??

hes the only person to have custom installed the GT17s, if i remember right those turbos come standard on a series of SAAB.
Also if you have done a 2JZ swap according to your name they wont work as he has installed them according to the 1JZ head. Unless you have just made a mistake and still have the standard 1JZ?
He has given a dyno power rating in his forsale thread so just go of that, of course that is with the supporting mods that are needed
like i said i have seen 245rwkw on 14psi, with these turbos.on my current setup. they are rated about 250hp each.i can attach the dyno sheet of when i first installed them. and just got it running.
hey micheal it says displacement 1.5 to 2.3 litres what does this meen in terms of our soarers? also would you know where to get a guud name brand feual cut defender as i cnt boost mine more then 11psi cos boost cut kicks in!

yes that displacment is for each turbo. so add them together 3lt or 4.6ltr

the gt17s are a little bigger in a/r ratio then the t25 and of a much newer desgin, the old t series turbo run a lot hotter then the gt series. anyway mate it up to you.
