been having heaps of problems since i took of the manifold to polish it, now running like crap, checked the coils, map sensor ,plugs, and all air lines,for leaks. all good. but found that when i did a timing check, that it was @ 30btdc.cam sensors,or crank .checked timing marks twice thay are spot on.its missing real bad on idle and up to @3500rpm,got new plugs,and have since tryed fuel pump ecu.new timing belt,checked the engine computer,seams fine,done e1 t1 check said ECM= NG THEN --, AND EFI = NG, but stays NG. run the fuel out last week,so putting new filter in saturday.any help be great. danny

found the problem, it was the crank sensor,its now 10deg btdc,and i found a way u can advance the timing with out messing up the cam timing,runs find on 25deg btdc and has heaps more pull mid, to top end.

my car had an earthing fault and was running an extra 10 degrees advance, and it used to detonate big time. Be real careful. my motor was only saved because i installed a "knock Link"< so i could back off.
