Ive been expecting it to happen eventually, top tank never looked extremely healthy, just lately ive started to notice that its using a bit of water, theres always a puddle of water on the shround under the radiator.

Is it possible to get them pulled, cleaned and sealed? Or will this be hard considering its an import?

We send radiators from work and get them repaired and cleaned, but there non import cars etc.

Most radiator works can do a top tank replacement. From memory it cost me round the $150 mark about 18 months ago. Ring around to see.

well, worse than i thought, just got back from a drive, opened the bonnet and could hear hissing, its crackd just below the filler cap. So they can get new top tanks i assume? Otherwise it looks like i need a new radiator

Yeah mate. Top tank can be easily replaced. Might pay to get the core flushed/poked out while they're at it, and the block flushed too.

OK does anyone make a alloy radiator for the soarer?

Does someone have a link to one, wouldnt mind picking one up if my lower tank is also nackered, would prefer to get a alloy radiator over a replacement factory radiator.

If it turns out the lower tank is fine il just replace the top tank

well found out my reason for it getting hot on those 40+ degree days we had, radiator was 50% blocked, they had a top tank in stock believe it or not haha, so in and out in a day. Cant complain with that :-)

1 big problem with radiators that have Tanks on each end ... They collect 5h1t in the bottom of the end tanks and over time start to block up , Especially the bottom of the Hot side . PLus its an ugly lookin thing, lol .
