Sami, i turned on o2 correction this time, might be causing the weired flat spots because we're still tuned for much bigger injectors through the 'correction' map. If it doesn't go away (should self learn), i will disable it for you next time and revert to a manually tuned cruise map.

Looking forward to 25psi in the midrange hehe, boost started tapering off which is a sure sign the comp is out of efficiency.

If you want more low end torque and better performance overall, remove the heating from the throttle body and ISCV. They can be blocked off with a brass fitting. Intake temps will drop about 10 degrees, so you'll gain some torque all round and a bigger margin for safe boost / timing / fuel before onsetting detonation.

BTW, the reason it feels 'sedate' when it comes on full boost is because the clutch is slipping lightly. You'll notice a big change when its upgraded :-)

To establish mph in any gear with any differential, calculate as follows:

MPH =

rpm x circumference in inches x 60
_________________________________

gear ratio x diff ratio x 63371.4

Then, divide answer to above equation by .6214 to convert to kmh.

Example: In your case, circumference of a 255 x 45 x 17 tyre is 81.79 inches.

So, first multiply 1000 rpm x 81.79 x 60 = 4,907,400

Second, multiply gear ratio x diff ratio x 63371.4

In your case the gear ratio is 1:1, diff ratio is 4.083:1

So, 1 x 4.083 x 63371.4 = 258,745.42

Then divide first answer by the second answer:

4,907,400 / 258,745.42 = 18.97.

This is the mph (not kmh) for every 1,000 rpm in a fourth gear of 1:1 and a diff of 4.0831:1

To convert to kmh divide mph (18.97) by .6214 = almost exactly 30.5kmh So, at

1,000 rpm = 30.5 kmh

2,000 rpm = 61 kmh

3,000 rpm = 91.5 kmh

4,000 rpm = 122 kmh

5,000 rpm = 152.5 kmh

6,000 rpm = 183 kmh

7,000 rpm = 213.5 kmh

At which time I presume you are thinking about changing into fifth.

106 = 3,475 rpm; 120 = 3,934 rpm and 134 = 4,393 rpm.

Hope this helps.

The last graph is the TD06 vs stock twins at the same boost pressure.

Stock cams on both runs.

In both cases power was compressor limited. I believe the torque will rise a lot sharper when the clutch can hold it! You can see there's a second run with the boost pushing to 23psi (in red) and torque about to clip the 7k mark before the clutch lets go.

Thats what a fast street car should be like

Yeah i think you are right about the O2 being able to learn it seems to be getting better or I may have adjusted my driving style a bit to suit haha

I reckon however that my clutch is pretty much fubared even for everyday driving it seems to feel like its telling me its had enough, so it may be another reason for things playing up, especially on low rpm shifts

I remember you having some sort of insulating on your intercooler piping, what did you use and from where ? That should also help alongside the bypass, for the intake temps.
I was previously running Castrol Edge 10-60w on your recommendation, should I continue or switch to something different ?

I cant wait to get it on the rollers again

OH and peoples, I need a clutch, suggestions? Just remember its daily driven!

Sami, i'd go for a custom jim berry clutch to suit your needs.

I used some adhesive foam stuff from clark rubber as a temporary solution to see which area's would help bring down intake temps.

I think i'm keeping it all though :-)

Just been looking around to get info on the coolant bypass mod:

I have come across this:

http://soarercentral.com/sc-forum/messages/51875/214258.html?1202814535

Does anyone have a picture of the other point where you do this as well ?
Also do I have to block off the tubes on the intake manifold itself, or is it okay to leave it as it looks in the pic

To be honest mate I can't see any difference with this at all... I have that mod done... If there is any gain at all it would be very minor.. Not really worth your wile... But to answer "Also do I have to block off the tubes on the intake manifold itself" No mate.. Same as the pic!
The rear one I hear is a pain.. I wouldn't recomend as there isn't really any gain for the trouble!

Lower intake temps can be seen. It's a free mod. Crazy not to do it .
