Hey guys. Been a minute since I've checked y'all out. Anyway, Here's the dilemma. I had to change my waterpump......again. Third time changing it because of certain situations. Anyway so I got a new pump and a fan assembly and installed everything as usual. When I woke this morning I drove to work and did my daily runs. Driving from home to work is, maybe, 30 to 45 minutes and the same coming home. Everything ran smoothly for the day. I stopped home for lunch and when I was heading back to work, "babygirl" was misfiring. The first thing that came to mind was the timing may have been off so I checked and everything lined up TDC. So that eliminated timing; I think. The timing belt was tight as it was supposed to be. After that I took off the coil pack cover and disconnected each coil pack wire one by one as the car ran, to see if there would have been a problem with any given cylinder. Everything was okay there. So now I disconnected the Air Flow Meter at the front by the throttle body and the car didn't shut off. I did that also with the one at the back and it still didn't shut out. And then I took of both and the car still didn't shut off. What can possibly be the problem? I need to get this sorted out ASAP as I have a possible sale for the car. Please help Thanks

TTs dont have an AFM as they are MAP metered.
Im guessing what u mean off the throttle body is the throttle position switch?
I would check the MAP sensor vaccum hose, they can split at anytime if there old, this will give the computer fasle readings and cause it to run roughly.

Well guys....thanks for the info but I let go of old girl last night. Was causing me too much stress and $$$$ and my wife and I just got our house so.....i don't need that kind of expense. I went over to the ricer side....for now. Honda Civic Hatchback. But I can assure u as soon as the smoke clears I'll be back over to the Soarer/Supra. It has been fun and in my opinion one of the easiest cars to work on. I honestly can say I had a bond with the car and I was kind of upset to see her go knowing the time and effort, and blood, sweat and tears that was put into her.....I got a chunk of my finger taken out night before last working on her. But once again SOARER CENTRAL thank you for all the advice and help....and in the words of the famous Terminator.......I'LL BE BACK!!!
