Hey guys, my car has been Blowing smoke when i take off, not hard but not slowly either,

its blowing black smoke, and i have also noticed my rear turbo is leaking oil onto the exhaust pipe underneath...

is the smoke regarding the turbo. does this sound a huge problem? or is it signs off a blown turbo coming my way? :-)

blue smoke is oil entering exhaust. in your case, the black smoke is caused by an excess of fuel- running rich. Sleep easy tonight, mate:-)

what the oil leaking from the rear? yeah true!, but it could just be a small thing right? like outside leaking not actually in the turbo?

If its also using a lot of fuel as well as blowing black smoke it probably has a faulty O2 sensor.

how do i check?, i failed at trying to figure out how to run a diagnostics even following instructions,

if it is an 02 Sensor is it something easy to fix?

remove old O2 sensor, located on dump pipe, fitted with 2 12mm nuts and connected to wiring loom via plug.

Fit new O2 sensor in reverse order, propably a good idea to reset the computer as well, let it Learn with the new O2 sensor.

The soarer uses a plate O2 sensor mount, not sure if you need to get genuine or its possible to get them through repco, auto parts store etc.

hmmm sounds simple enough just a matter of me figuring out how to get to it?..

do i require a hoist? or will i need to remove the turbos to get to it?

or can i do it without either?

anyone know were i can get a new o2 sensor? :-)

It's below the turbo heat shield.

Ty, from my knowledge, this is your 02 sensor. It is easily visible from above the engine bay. No hoist or turbo removal required.

Unplug it, get the socket set and remove it. Probably best to get a new one from Toyota (not sure if they are available at your local auto shop, doubt it)

Hope that helps, and hope I'm right. Don't want to stuff you around mate, hope it fixes the issue.
