and when i was hitting boost cut i decided to turn it down, so i turned it completely off, gunned it down the road to see what it was at, it was still hitting cut? confused,
so I'm wondering if its not wired right, but if it wasn't installed right i would'nt b hitting boost cut i would b hitting stock psi which is 9 right?
so i dunno whats going on and the only mod i have is BFI, so I'm wondering if its another problem that just seems to happen at 14psi?..
i run an Apexi Boost gauge from inside the cabin. anyone can help I'm really stuck, or anyone in WA i can drop it around to that can have a look.

When I was reading your topic I was going to say your hitting fuel cut after the boost controller is off because of your other mods. I used to hit it in my soarer with just an exhaust and FMIC, no boost controller. But I doubt a BFI would make that much of a difference, if you still have the stock exhaust.
When you are not using the boost controller and you give it a hit what does the gauge read??

when i have it turned off it still hits at 1bar or 14psi, so even when its off it still does it... so im kinda confused, and i figured it may b a problem that ironically happens at 1bar...

i have a jaycar fuel cut defender, which im yet to sold together(dunno how) but im wondering what the boost is set to if i was to add a FCD im really confused about this haha!!

If its still hitting boost cut with the boost tee off then it must be setup the wrong way.
A FCD just stops the ECU from seeing any higher readings from the map sensor. When running 18psi the map sensor will read approx 4.7v but if the ECU see anything over approx 4.28v it will cause fuel cut. So all the FCD will do is clamp the voltage to the level that you set it to to keep it under the fuel cut level. From memory the Jaycar FCD are set very low at around 3.9v which is too low to run on a soarer it will run too much timing and lean it out too much (without a piggyback ECU). You would be better off just buying an adjustable FCD like the turbosmart or similar.

I'd still be leaning towards Fouled plugs mate.
With the 02 sensor the way it is, your plugs are probably getting stuffed as soon as you chuck them in, and as it reaches higher boost it can't keep up and starts to missfire.

Sounds like the T piece may be around the wrong way. The Turbosmart boost "T's have a one way check valve and if its around the wrong way it will completely stop any pressure going to the actuator.
Yeah thats fine with the twin pressure sources, and you want the lines to be as equal length as possible, will make the slight most difference, ie. 5cm wouldn't notice, 50cm might start feeling the effect.

Ty, Remove the actual Boost valve and see what boost its running ? Also have you cable tied the vac lines ? 1 might be leaking, hence why over boosting?

it looks like it has been set up wrong, by the way i have 2 T pieces due to the fact of the 2 pressure sources...
but from what i can tell the waste gate side --> at the T piece in the photo the one going of to the right hooks up to the pressure not acutator so i need to go down to supercheap and by some more hose as it doesnt have enough length to change around
hopefully this should resolve it?..
and remove the boost valve? which is the whole thing or just the pressure point hoses?
