This has been troubling me for a while now. Ive tried searching and nothing. So here I am :-).

My avcr is set to 1.25bar but on a dyno the manifold pressure reads out 14psi.

Can someone tell why this is happening?

1 bar is 14 psi right? so 1.25 should in theory be somewhere around 16 psi correct? is it possible you've got a leak somewhere along the line. or maybe your ebc is funky

According to the almighty Google...

1 bar = 14.5037738 pounds per square inch
1.25 bar = 18.1297172 pounds per square inch

Are you taking into account pressure drop across your intercooler?

oh yeah thats right 1.5 bars is 21 psi not 2 bars. yeah that makes sense adam.
I would say there's a leak somewhere. check your tube connections on fmic pipes. or if no fmic rather the tiny stock ic with stock rubber piping chances are its gone brittle and cracked somewhere. might be time to check/ replace some piping.

Cameron is on the money.

My T66 was pushing 18PSI but my boost gauge (manifold side) was reading 16PSI. Its pretty normal mate.

Im pretty sure your big single can handle it
