I recently hooked up my Gizzmo MS-IBC and I took it for my first test run tonite. I'm only hitting about 10.8 psi. This is how it's currently set

Close
Duty 51
Gain 43

I've increased up to the above setting without any change in boost both on the display and on my boost gauge. Does this seem right? How high should the duty be set to get in just below boost cut? Any advice would be helpful. This is my first boost controller and I'd prefer not to 'bust my s.hit'.
Thanks

HUH ?

That doesnt sound right mate.
Did you do all the things you were supposed to do to set the boost etc?

You may have connected it up wrong. Check your manual or find the online one and check that.

Once i did my 1st full run so the Gizzmo could work out NORMAL MAX boost i adjusted the duty up by about 4 or 5 points each time which (for my car) worked out to be about 2psi / 4 or 5 points.
** Yours may be different so dont use that as a rule.

So yeh it took a while to sort out my settings , but once i had 3 settings saved (didnt use the 4th one) i just left it.

I found adjusting the gain too high would lead to some serious spiking of boost and then it would settle down... still not the best option though. But i did dial in some gain to help an earlier spool of my big single turbo.

I think I did the actual install correct. The only thing that comes to mind that is different is the used port on the solenoid is not pointing down. I'll go over my install again tonite to ensure it's correct. As for the operation of the control unit... I'm not sure I'm doing it right. I may be interpreting the instructions incorrectly.

Well it turns out that the plug to the solenoid had slipped off on the control unit. Seems to be working now. Just have to figure out my duty settings now. Thanks for your help.
