just wondering what it means when the aux air con fan keeps kicking in mainly in stop start traffic, never used to hear it until about two weeks ago. Ive flushed the coolant and put new distilled water and motorsport coolant in but still happening. Does it kick in when my auto gets hot? It is shift kitted with the line pressure up, car is not overheating. Thanks for your ideas.

The aircon fan kicks on and off, thats normal. The bearings may be worn though and thats why you can hear it.

its normal mate, in traffic you dont have a constant flow of air over the radiator to cool it.

The fan is hooked into a thermotin switch which when a certain temp is reached (say 90degrees) contacts within the switch will close and turn on the fan, when the temp of the coolant drops below say 90 degrees the contacts open and the fan turns off. Pretty simple :-)
