I have just replaced the PCV and have noticed the "ventilation hose no2" is all cracked. Mine is rock hard and feels like plastic. I assume it is supposed to be rubber like the rest of the hoses in the system, but want to know for sure.
Does anyone know if it is not rubber? I was thinking I could go to the local industrial rubber joint and buy something suitable as I need to get this done ASAP (ie I can NOT wait for Toyota to get one in and freight it to me)
Any help is appreciated.
PS: Replacing the PCV is a ten minute job, my arse!

Fixed now. I ended up using some high temp, high pressure hose suited for fuel/oil transfer.
I thought I'd buggered it all up as the car had a horrible miss and cough, and was breaking down as I tried to rev it. After much side by side comparisons between the road and track car I discovered I had the wires to No 1 coil pack reversed. (the plug has long since perished so only the two pin connectors remain. They came off while I was messing around, and I must have reconnected them wrong.)
All seems fine now. Hopefully this will mean the end to my oil leak.
