hey guys, i think ive asked before, either there is nothing or im useless at the search thread.
im looking for dual a-pillar for the soarer,
i have 2 auto metre gauges, there both 52mm so i need either an a-pillar for them or i need gauge cup holders, i tried the ones at supercheap but the 52 were just to small and the 60s were tobig (obviously built for there own gages)
so does anyone know where i can get just cup holders or an a-pillar? Possibly universal cause i know they dont seem to make them for the soarer anymore.

I've never seen pods specifically made for the Soarer but theres universal ones on ebay in 52 and 60mm last time I checked. Would you be able to get away with dremelling out the 52mm pods to fit your gauges?

haha very true, having a nice car is a defect I'm on P's so I'm trying to get everything as cop-friendly as possible, e.g boost controller tucked under center console easily in a hurry haha Make sure ya put some pics up, I'm sure a few other members are wondering the same thing

Haha sweet where abouts are you from? Had much trouble from coppers? I've got a black 93 GT-TL with a bunky bumper and the black plastic cover has started to crack off the drivers side door pillar. It was in pretty poor shape when I bought it but I'm slowly fixing everything up Just been waiting for a nice weekend so I can sand back and repaint, get the back parcel shelf and sound system in and boost controller hooked up

I'm pretty sure any gauges (or anything else for that matter) that sit on or above the crash padding on the dash are defectable - I suppose this would include pillar pods.

yeah im sure it would, but im not fussed if cops really wanna go that low then good luck to them lol..
umm austen, sounds nice man.. mines black as well but its a really crap job i need to sand it back and re-spray but have no idea were to begin or what to do haha!!
im in either wilson or spearwood myself... yeah mine has cracks everywhere pretty common though haha!

I wouldn't recommend it Ty. Police here often pull people over the moment they spot a gauge mounted on the a-pillar because they stick out like dog's balls during the night. Then again your car, your choice.
I personally mounted mine underneath my head unit in the center console which is IMO a good spot.

I've seen this a few times, or because its a double din, a custom din made up and the head unit replaced with a single din with the gauges recessed in that custom din. I think they look really good there, fits in with the car.

I've seen some decent gauge setups on the dash, just above the A/C vents in a custom housing. Also seen them put in the woodgrain (or non-woodgrain if you own a pov pack) trim area. They can look good if done right.
Just don't put a massive gauge on the right hand corner of your dash. Now that's tacky.

Guy at work has a WRX STi with the hugest gauge right where you say Vinh, I recon its big enough to warrant being a vision obstruction. His whole car is pretty tacky though so its kinda in theme. He has a small gap and then 4 - I kidd you not, 4 more gauges in the middle of the dash. knows what they all do.

Matthew, I usually find that the people who have those gauges there drive like complete tools (no offence to anyone on here that actually has a massive gauge there ).
Either way, if anyone's too lazy to click on my thread you can see my gauge setup below:

Ty, this was my A-Pilar gauge setup when I had my soarer, a $20 3 52mm gauge pod, hot glue gun and some putty (or something along those lines can't remember)

Ty if you can't get the pillar to fit i bought a metal cup gauge from autopro in canningvale for $30. mounts really well to the a-pillar, just poke a couple of holes in the pillar, screw in two self-tapping screws and its sorted. I've had cops right next to me and behind me a night with the gauge lit up and none of them seem to care
