hey today i was chillin in a carpark texting and all of a sudden my car stalled and conked out.
the cat light came on and i let it sit for a while and then started it up, didnt stall for the rest of the day.
is this a small problem or the start of something big ??
oh and by the way my cat is more dented than a derby car, would this have anything to do with it ?
what do i need to do to stop this problem ??

Sounds like an electrical fault to me, if the cats not overheating then its probably not blocked, and if it was blocked it would be a constant problem.

Faulty Fuel Pump ECU causes random stalling. If it gets worse then one day stops and wont start, a paperclip in the glovebox to bridge FP and B+ in the dignostics port under the hood will get you going again

yeah the cat was battered when i got the soarer back in 06 and i mean BATTERED.
i also have scraped and dented it on a few things myself, now it looks like an crumpled soft drink can.
but this is the first time that my car has EVER stalled while i have owned it.
so it is definately the cat then ??
