Hi,
a member of soarercentral forum is currently stuck on the way to Maroubra from Melb. He's about 300kms away from Maroubra. He has radiator issue. His engine is overheating possibly due to a partial block radiator. He's trying to limp to Maroubra and needs help finding a radiator repairer asap. If anyone knows a contact number please post it here so I can tell him or if you're kind enough to contact him directly on 0449 574 390 and guide him there, I'm sure he'll be very appreciative.
Also, to make situation worse his phone is running out of battery too and his cigarett lighter doesn't work so he cannot charge his phone. Hope someone will be able to help him.

TT or V8?
Is it leaking coolant?
Split top tank?

If it's a V8 and loosing fluid, release the radiator cap to the first stop (being careful not to get burnt) and they can probably continue driving carefully - depending what the problem actually is.

Not sure if that will work with a TT as the V8 radiator is bigger.

same method for any radiator.
Max (his name) has arrived to Maroubra at 4am today. He started leaving Melb at 10am. Took him 16hrs to get to Maroubra from Melb. The car was not leaking at all, top and bottom tanks are ok. Thermostat and waterpump have been replaced. Engine compression is very good across all 6 cylinders. No air block was present before the trip. I can only think of partial blocked radiator.
Hope he'll find a radiator place in Maroubra to fix the problem.
