Hi folks
I just got a nice oil catch can and found very brief instructions with it (connect to intake pipe and engine).
Does anyone know exactly how to fit one of these or have any pics of one already fitted.

Thanks for any replies.

Goes from the outlet on the exhaust side cam cover into the catch can.

Then the outlet goes back into the turbo pipe where the original pipe (from cam cover) went into. Depending on what year your 1jz is it will either join in the middle or at the front turbo section. IIRC the outlet of the cam cover is around 20mm which is substantially larger than my catch can inlet so I had to get a hose reducer.

Alan;
what has happen in the past is that if you reduce the pipe size to far down to match your catch can
there will be puffs of white smoke out the back
Like as if you have turbo problems
if you can make the conections on the catch can larger mate.
i know of 3 people now that thought there turbos had died and when the catch can was disconnected thay were fine

Cheers lads.
Lew i'm glad you mentioned that, as when i looked at the size of the hose on the cam cover and then the pathetic size of the nipples on the catch can the more i worried at the idea of fitting this thing.Its also empty inside...that can't be right can it.
Bugger it! i'll use it as a hip flask.

The std size is 19mm from memory, I managed to tighten the hose down with clamps to fit on 16mm barbed fittings at the catch can. the largest size that came with the can was 14mm.

I'm a little shielded from reality through constant nightly drinking, whats a catch can do?
