Hey guys,
I am soon going to get a good tune done on my soarer and dont want to go killing the auto.

So i am wondering how much power it can handle with out slipping.

I have a 1.5 shift kit installed.

Cheers

depends on its current condition. assuming it was not worn inside, the shift kit plus an oil cooler will allow it to hold 260rwkw fine. it may even live at 280 plus, depending on how sympathetic the driver is.

The cressida is a bit lighter then a soarer though which makes a bit of difference.

Mine died at 270kw's .... 250kw's should be fine! As long as you have a shift kit and trans cooler fitted!

Cressida weighs the same as my soarer , has a full cage and all the interior is in, its a Grande with leather and stuff .

Its gone 11.2 @ 120mph and 10.7 @ 125mph ( 1 shot of n20 with slight missfire ) so far .

Previously it was running 11.6-11.7 @ 116mph on Pump fuel and the same numbers on C16 .

i just fitted my 1.5 shift kit, and huge PWR cooler all of an hour ago \o/

when i was on the phone to MV Automatics i asked what power they can take as ill be finishing up fitting my t3g's tonight and emanage ultimate next week, and expect decent power.

they said 260rwkw upto 270rwkw max, with standard clutch packs, 1.5 kit, and cooler, he explained the expected HP of the box by the number of plates times area plus somthing to do with pistons, ok ive forgotten what he said exactly.

i just hope it holds together like the above posters as im after 250>260 for a start :S

p.s. those running big power through them how often and what oil do your use?
