do you really NEED an oil cooler ? I would suggest you conduct a decent search as i believe this has been discussed in the past (along with brand name vs NO name coolers)
Anyways, it will probably just come with brackets anyways, so just fit it anywhere that gets some decent air flow.
I attached my tranny cooler down where the stock SMIC used to sit, worked a charm.

Yes. The cooler won't know it isn't in a Supra.
If it does give you any trouble, pull it out and take it to a parked Supra somewhere, say out loud "I'm going to put this oil cooler into my SUPRA", cover it with a towel and put it back into your Soarer and it will be none the wiser. Just don't refer to your car as a Soarer ever again in case it hears you.
Seriously, Have a look at my track car build thread. I have put both an oil cooler and power steering cooler in mine. The power steer cooler is actually an automatic transmission cooler from a Magna, but I got it hypnotised into thinking it was from a Soarer race car. Works a charm.

I have mine under the front guards, one where the SMIC usually sits, and the other in the same location on the other side.
I'd need a photo of your front bar area to give you any specific advice, but in mine there is plenty of airflow due to the fact I deleted the turning lights, and there is the factory duct for the SMIC.
If you put it in the left side, you may want to cut some vents in the plastic guard liner like I did to encourage more airflow.

Nah mate, that should be fine. Plenty of air will get in there, and it looks like there is nothing to stop air that "spills" off your Intercooler from filling the gap either side. As long as there is a path for the air to follow after your oil cooler then it should be fine. So
Some ducting made up out of some 0.5mm ally sheet will make it really effective, but I haven't yet found the need. Also, seeing as you have a street car, think about fitting a small thermo fan to the cooler. That way air will be pulled through the cooler when you are sitting still in traffic.
Of course, I am assuming you really need an oil cooler as James asked way back. Do you have an oil temp gauge fitted? The extent to which you go to cool your oil really depends on what your overheating problem is and when it occurs.

This is my power steering cooler, which is on the same side you are looking at fitting the oil cooler. (the reason it is on that side is it is a short run from the normal powersteering circuit to the cooler and back). My pipes are in a similar location to yours. The cooler is working, as prior to fitting it I was almost boiling the fluid, but now it stays around the 80degrees specified in the manual.
I'll be in Darwin next year, so I may need to further develop my cooling systems to meet the demands of Hidden Valley. That is, make up some ducting to make every thing more efficient.

well ben i havent really NEEDED any of the mods ive done i just like making my car perform better. and no i dont have an oil temp gauge, i just thought an oil cooler would help keep things running well. im kind of to the point where all i can do is my internals, turbo, upgrade fuel and major stuff like that. so ive been getting things like oil coolers and visual things (not saying an oil cooler is a visual thing). so yeah if you have any suggestions on what i should get next man im all ears....

left side when you are sitting in the car. The Supra has a SMIC in the same location as the Soarer, ie right hand front guard.
The oil filter relocation kit is really up to you. It will allow you to put the filter somewhere easier for oil changes. You might find that with the adaptor for your oil cooler, you might have less room to remove the filter then normal (depending on how thick the sandwich plate is). If you can get it in a kit with the oil cooler than it might be cheaper than if you decide you want one later.

I wouldn't worry about the oil filter relocation kit, just buy an oil filter like the Drift brand ones that have a nut welded on top that makes it much easier to remove the filter.

You can get a oil filter relocation kit and cooler for $300 on ebay. If you plan on keeping the car for a while and do your own oil changes it's handy but not necessary.
