I put the kazama mounts in at the begging of this year, very solid, you might feel a bit of vibration at first but after a few days you dont notice it anymore.

Just an update... I put some Kazama SPL engine mounts in the ol beast last weekend (2 and a 1/2 hour job) with 1/2 the time trying to break the turbo side bolt loose.
You need a size 17 and a 19. The top nut is smaller than the bottom. You cant seem to purchase the top nuts new from Toyota, but the bottom one is $3 ish each.
My old engine mounts were deteriorated so badly... split in 2... engine leaning to one side... engine lifting under load. etc.
THINGS TO NOTICE WHEN YOU HAVE BUSTED ENGINE MOUNTS!!
- Your engine sits so low that if you ground out... you may hit the sump. This wasnt an issue for me. My sump was scrape free since I have stock suspension.
- Since the old engine mounts were ripped in 2. When you have a fair bit of power and push hard. The engine WILL TWIST AND LIFT. Lift to a point where the aux belt touches the battery tray. yes... they are about 5cm away from each other. Yes... My engine lifted so much that aux belt and pulley touched the battery tray. It melted/grinded the corner of the battery tray. Good thing my battery is smaller than a truck battery...
- Some of you remember that I had SERIOUS gearbox issues. 2nd gear not hooking up etc... I thought I had a blown gearbox. Ever since I put the new Kazama engine mounts in, the gearbox has started to work properly again. This may be un-related, but I thought I'd mention it as dead engine mounts with the engine leaning to one side probably effected the alignment of the shaft or something. I dont know. All I know is that my gearbox is working properly again. Bonus?
- Car is now 100% more stable taking corners at speed. (Not having the engine flop around helps!! duh!!). In fact, the whole car feels tighter overall. Sid came down from Syd on the weekend and I let him drive the ol girl for a bit. Even he commented that the car was feeling very tight. Which was awesome.
Hope that helps for anyone thinking of doing the engine mount change. It may solve more problems than you realised!

Toan, I haven't noticed any symptoms like yours, but I do get a vibration 'tizz' through the floor and steering (slightly) at 2200rpm. Did you notice any change in vibration with your new mounts?
I'll change them if it will fix the tizz - anyone got any more on this?

sorry to revive an old thread, but I have been offered non-revised engine mounts for a JZA80 [93.5-95.4], part number 12360-46070, and just wanted to make sure they fit a 1JZGTE.
Thanks guys!

Supra Part No: 12360-46111 is a direct fit in the JZZ30 Soarer.
thats the late model mounts. Aparantly they are different. I mean, I know its a better design, but what I need to know is, will the part I described above fit? I can get my hands on a brand new pair for $250. Cheers guys
