Hi I've mentioned before that I've been involved in a 1JZ fitting into a nissan 260z.

Our little team is up to the wiring secion, as the engine is able to hold all its fluids, and is mounted ready to drive!

I went over to the planet soarer site because i thought it might have the electrical diagrams for the engine.

"The complete genuine Toyota Wiring Schematics have been translated. For further information please go here
http://www.f1kits.com/translation.htm"

Sadly that website didn't continue to pay its domain name hosting forever. It no longer exists :-(

If someone else could help me out and perhaps email me skythra at gmail.com then I'd really appreciate it :-)

When it's got some electrics, its only in need of some interior work and it'll be stunning!

Thanks in advance

Some more googling reveals:

http://www.1jz.com/tech/docs/wiring/

Maybe one of those PDF's can help :-)

I was hoping to one day stealth him along to a soarer cruise and everyone would be like "Woah whats this uninvited guest doing here" all up until the hood popped and they'd be all like "Ahhh"

Don't worry, its got fully new suspension and rims already waiting. The suspension was done ages ago, but the rims are still without rubber.

While the car isn't driveable it doesn't matter anyway :-)

Yes they are knockoff watanabes RS8's

But they are Rota RB's. 16"x7 front, 16x8 rear

similar to these perhaps!

Lengthwise there's plenty of space between the firewall and the nose, but east west its neatly packed :-)

We've relocated the battery to the back and cut out the welded battery plate. The pod filter will probably sit next to the break booster, and the charcoal canister opposite it on the righthand side on the firewall.

We've had a lot of issues all along the way as the mounts weren't the same so we had to make up a custom oil return (from the turbo's) and transmission lines etc. Some bashing on the shifter link to bend it to a new shape.. and the other thread i've got has the surge tank we made up.

There's plenty more issues to come, but once it's running (next month) i'll probably post up a bit of a summary in the general section :-)
