Hey all, I have just replaced my stuffed original steering wheel (TT - non-airbag, vinyl) with a decent condition leather one from a limited. The thing is it has the cruise control stalk on it. I know that I can remove it and fit the blanking plastic from my original wheel but now I'm wondering, how hard would it be to fit an original cruise control module and set up to a soarer that didn't have cruise fitted standard? Has anyone done this before? Can you let me know what I require and what is involved in fitting it?

from another thread that i saw, its pretty hard, as the looms are different for cruise and non cruise models, so you would have to fit a complete new loom as your car wont have the plugs etc required.

Thanks for that Scott, thought that might be the case. I was hoping they just made one loom and all required wiring would be there, just missing module/controls. Oh well, I hadn't considered cruise before I got the wheel, I will search a bit more on it but if it is to much work I won't bother.
On another note, a HG GTS Monaro? awesome mate! How long have you had that? worth a pretty penny now! I have a 308 4 speed HQ panelvan locked away in my garage, I did a restoration on it about 6 years ago now, but took it off the road about 2 years ago to build a stroker motor for it, but it has sat idle while I play with my new toy (the TT - another restoration!)

haha, few years mate, still in 100% original condition, havnt touched it since i got it, needing space and time before i pull it apart, not that it really needs it as its straight and 90% rust free haha.
Its a 308 also but a trimatic, wanting to put a supra 5 speed in it, but also not wanting to take away from its originality.
